Miraval Berkshires Resort & Spa (Hyatt Hotels Corporation)

Miraval Resorts was founded in 1995 and “offers unique, experiential journeys and personal wellbeing treatments.” The organization’s motto is “life is better when in balance.”  Resort activities center on mindfulness and include “fitness, meditation, yoga, wellbeing, equine, hiking, biking, and metaphysical exploration” options.  Miraval was acquired by Hyatt Hotels Corporation in 2017, and during the same year, acquired Cranwell Spa & Golf Resort in Lenox, Massachusetts.

Miraval sought to transform the historic 380-acre Cranwell property into a resort more in keeping with the company’s “wellness” brand.  The Dobbert Companies partnered with construction lead ELS Construction to implement the fire protection systems in this new iteration of this famed location.  This was no small feat given the age of many of the buildings, as well as the need for the preservation of architectural details throughout the property!
